Great 911 Ride for Team Red!

Team Red riders at the West Chester 911 Ride.
L to R: Brian Curran, Jim Gilbert, Bob Carter, Andy Poole, Kevin Horio,
and Frank Morrone  (Dan Jefferys missing)
We had a nice ride for West Chester YMCA's 10 year 911 commemorative ride.  The weather held up. And Andy had the foresight to bring some beers for the end of ride cool down.

Lots of hills on this one.  My bike meter noted over 2,700 feet of climbing over the 40 mile route.  We didn't burn up the route or anything - just under 3 hours riding time and about 3.5 hours if you count the breaks at the rest stop, and hilltops to let the group get back together.

We all did the 40, except Dan Jefferys who dared to ride the 80. I don't know how it turned out for Dan, hopefully well.  But my legs were feeling like concrete by the end of the 40.  I haven't done too many hilly rides since or Tour de Cure this year.

Good times!

Remembering those we lost.
