Team Red Spotlight: Frank Morrone

Frank Morrone
Frank Morrone is an active Team Red member, Red Rider, and a vet.  Frank's been working with the VA (Veteran's Administration) to promote healthy lifestyles and exercise for vets with diabetes.  Frank has type 2 diabetes and uses cycling to help fight diabetes.  As Frank always says:

   Hills are Tough
   The Sofa Kills
   The Bike is LIfe

Leading the way for vets
to fight diabetes!

Frank looks at cycling as a medicine to combat his diabetes. And he wants to help other vets with diabetes to do the same.

Frank is leading the way to work with Team Red and the ADA to welcome all vets to join Team Red, to come out and have fun on our training rides, and join us in the Tour de Cure.  We are also hoping to do the same with the ADA's Step Out Walk, which has a Team Red as well - for vets that don't cycle, they can join the walking program.

The Coatesville VA Medical Center is embracing this and has invited Team Red and all Red Riders to join in their Veteran's Week Parade on Friday, November 4th, from 8:30am - 11:30am.

See our event details for more info on this and contact Kevin Horio (kevinhorio@yahoo.com) if you can participate.  It's a Friday, so it may be difficult for some, but we are hoping to show some numbers and promote Team Red and the Tour to the vets, and welcome them to our ranks!
